Hi everyone .. My name is Melissa Anne Sanchez.
I was living the everyday life in Calgary Alberta. I Had a cozy house with all that represented who I was or so I thought!.
As the winds picked up the Bow River flooded my home from top to bottom ...
I tried as hard as I could to go through anything and everything that I could save but it was no use, the mud was just too dense and thick as all of my possessions were destroyed.
After a week of crying ... I began to ask myself the question who am I? You don't really know who you are until you lose all the ¨things¨ you thought made who you are!... And so my quest began!
I bought a ticket to good old Sudbury Ontario! Chelmsford to be exact! My sister Penny was going to be my savior... after a month I decided it was time to travel. I traveled throughout Turkey for about 3 months.. It was great!. But not a place I wanted to ¨start over´. My best friend Candy hounded me every day insisting that I go to Barcelona.. being at the end of my rope in Turkey I agreed!
I got into Barcelona and the first thing I did was get completely drunk! Alone in my apartment I rented.. Yes, pathetic but never the less very much needed after actually finding the apt! ..
2nd day in Barcelona. Well Let me tell you.. I got soooooo lost. I mean like 4 hours of walking lost!.. I decided to cave in and buy a map... but that didn't really help (I blame that on being a lefty) haha .. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this cathedral bigger then anything I have ever seen.. so beautiful and touching and it was at that moment that I finally gave up on trying to have control over my life and I was free!
I sat down at this little terrace to eat my ¨gluten free¨meal and thats when I saw him...My Mr. perfect!
Eduardo and I spent everyday together things were going so well that In fact I ended up moving in with him on about day 4 of my Barcelona trip! He said to me .. Let me earn your trust and your love. Come with me to Playa Del Carmen. If you don't like it ... If this doesn't work.... Ill buy your ticket home. How could I say no to those eyes? lol
Well.. Here I am .. Now living in Playa. Things are Great. Perfect. Obsessed with Mexican food specifically the ¨taco¨and the Mexican culture that I have long loved. Immediately I thought it would be great to have this blog.
